An optimal gestational age for delivery with premature rupture of membranes (PROM) remains questionable. Consideration must be taken to create individual treatment plans. Accurate assignment of gestational age is important in creating appropriate management plans for patients with PROM. Perils of prematurity in addition to maternal and fetal risks should be considered when creating management techniques for PROM. Alterations in maternal and fetal condition should guide alterations in the treatment plan.
