Gestational surrogacy is a process when a mentally and physically healthy woman bears a child for intended parents who, for some reason, cannot have their own child(ren) from the time of the pregnancy until the delivery. This woman is usually called a “gestational surrogate mother”, or simply – a “surrogate”.
The Embryos of intended parents are cultivated during the cycle of In vitro fertilization (IVF), in which for medical reasons intended parents can participate as egg or sperm donors. The embryos are cultivated in the laboratory and then transferred to the uterus of a surrogate.
A gestational surrogate has no genetic relationship with the fetus she bears. At the same time, in the traditional surrogacy that is prohibited by the law in Ukraine, there is a genetic link between the intended parents and a surrogate, although she gets pregnant through artificial insemination procedure.
Currently Parents Life supports only programs for gestational surrogacy.
To express your desire to participate in the surrogacy process, you are invited to fill in the application form of a surrogate. Before you do this, please, read the requirements for a surrogate below. After the approval of your candidacy as a surrogate, we will enter your information in our database. If the intended parents select your application to participate in a surrogacy program, we will immediately inform you.
For the participation in the surrogacy process, we offer an average of 12,000 US dollars plus. Moreover, a surrogate can claim for a range of additional benefits specified in the personalized contract on child bearing (surrogacy agreement), notary signed between a surrogate and the intended parents.
Parents Life finances all medical examinations of a surrogate. We cover transportation and, in some cases, accommodation allowances in Kiev for the time of preparation and conduct of the surrogacy process.
We are sincerely looking forward to cooperating with you!
The application of ART in Ukraine
The application of ART in Ukraine is regulated by the Order of the Ministry of Health Care of Ukraine No. 787 “On Approval of the Procedure of Assisted Reproductive Technologies Application”, dated September 9, 2013. This procedure regulates the relations between the patients (women and men) and the health institutions that provide the application of the assisted reproductive techniques and specifies the mechanism and the conditions for their application.
In this Procedure, under the ART we understand methods of infertility treatment in which the manipulations with the reproductive cells, some or all stages of their preparation, fertilization processes and embryo development up to their transfer into the patient’s uterus are carried out in conditions In Vitro – the technique of the experiment or other manipulations in a special laboratory container or in a controlled environment outside a living organism.
A Surrogacy (replaceable) motherhood is a bearing and childbirth (including prematurity) under the contract concluded between a surrogate and the intended parents whose reproductive cells are used for fertilization.
A surrogate is an adult capable woman, who meets the requirements of the current legislation of Ukraine about a surrogate. A surrogate stays in contractual relationships with the intended parents. She volunteers to get pregnant using IVF aimed at giving birth to a biologically alien to her child. After the birth, this child will be given away to the intended parents and they will be registered as biological parents.
